Hi, it’s nice to meet you!

Let’s have coffee and chat!

I’ll start by telling you that I literally run on black coffee and Diet Coke! I also have a serious sweet tooth and find it really hard to resist anything chocolate or peanut butter.

I wear many hats, like most people. I’ve been blessed with my wonderful husband. We’ve been together for 18 years and married for the last 11 years. We’ve been blessed with one fishing-loving, super active, fun-loving boy 9 years ago.

I walked into my very own classroom back in the fall of 2005. That seems like yesterday but it’s been 17 years ago. I started my teaching journey as a 3rd grade teacher. Over the years I’ve taught 2nd-5th grade. Fifth grade math has been my home for the last 8 years. I have to say that I loved the growth you see in 2nd but it’s hard to beat the level of independentness of 5th graders.

Here are a few more interesting facts about me. I love t read and I’m not that picky about the genere. I may have an absoutle love of Harry Potter. That’s thanks to one of my 5th graders a few years ago. Podcasts are a must for me too. My favortie podcast is Crime Junkie, if you are a true crime fan you have to check it out.
