Holiday Shopping

When you hear the words holiday shopping do you cringe inside? The idea of showing your appreciation for someone near and dear in your life is not the problem. It’s trying to figure out what the heck your child’s teacher or school secretary would really want. Don’t worry, I’ve got you! I polled several close teacher friends to come up with an updated list of ALL the goodies they’d love to have under their Christmas tree! Let’s get started on this fabulous gift guide. I have included links to most of the things included in this guide. It doesn’t cost you any more money but I do make a few cents if you choose to use the direct link! Happy Shopping and Happy Holidays.

Let’s Get to the 2019 Gift Guide

1. Gift Cards – I know this seems like an impersonal gift but sometimes it is exactly what is wanted and or needed. Who doesn’t love getting to pick out exactly what you want or need? Just in case you need a few ideas of specific cards here are a few that I love! Amazon, Teachers Pay Teachers, Target and Starbucks. Most teachers I know love to eat so you can’t go wrong with a restaurant gift card either.

Gifts Dunn Right

2. Rae Dunn – Just in case you are living under a rock the Rae Dunn phoneme is still going strong! What’s not to love about the simple style. I promise you if you decide to buy a coffee mug for your child’s teacher they will want it to be Rae Dunn for sure! They also have adorable Christmas ornaments, and note cards.

The Gift of Planning

3. Planners are always great gift ideas. That’s why I’m bringing it back to this year’s gift guide too. You can also always check out last year’s gift guide too for more ideas. My personal favorite is the Erin Condren Life Planner for personal stuff and the Teacher Lesson Planner for all the school things. The Gift that Keeps Giving

4. The Start Today Journal is one of my favorite things in this gift guide! It’s a simple journal that you use to show gratitude, set goals, and then take action. I love it so much that I created a version for my students to use too. You can read about this in more detail here.

The Personalized Touch

5. Personalization is always a thoughtful gift. Most teachers love to have custom signs and decor as a gift. These are great gifts that you can order online or help support a small local business. Some of my favorites have been decorative signs, pens, and pencils. Or anything with a monogram is AMAZING.

Out of the Box Gifts

6. You can really stand out by giving your teacher a subscription gift box. There are so many to choose from but I want to tell you about a very special one my friend Erika has created. It is a teacher-specific box filled with all the things any teacher would love to have! Below you will find the November Box and while this one has sold out the December Box will be ready to ship by December 18th. Click on the image below to grab one for your favorite teacher.

Bundle up with this gift

7. The final gift on this gift guide is a blanket! This gift was given to me last year and I absolutely love it! This time of year I use it almost every day at school! It’s a small throw that I take outside with me during recess. I bundle up under it and stay a warm as you can during that 20-minute break! It’s perfect if I forget my coat or my legs get cold.
